ISO 37000:2021 is an international standard that was created to develop general principles of effective management of ethics and integrity in enterprises of any form of ownership.
It also explains that the governing body should define organizational values as a compass that guides the way to achieve the goal. In general, the standard defines 11 principles on the basis of which organizations should build their activities.
Here are the key ones:
🔹Values. An organization must have a purpose that defines its values.
🔹Strategy. Organizational strategy reflects managerial intentions to achieve strategic results.
🔹 Accountability. Accountability breeds trust and integrity, which leads to improved results. This is demonstrated through reporting, transparency of operations, engagement of innovation and implementation of operational improvements.
🔹Involvement of stakeholders. The governing body must understand its stakeholders and involve them in achieving the organizational goal.
🔹 Leadership. The management of the organization should be an example of a culture based on positive values, set the tone from the mountain "Ton of the top" for others.
🔹Risk management. The organization provides a systematic assessment of risks at all structural levels.
🔹Social responsibility. All decisions in the organization must be made taking into account the absence of harm to society and social expectations.
