The Foundation for Institutional Development joined the professional development of judges ๐ฉ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐จ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Oksana Bronevytska participated as an invited expert of the USAID_VzayemoDiya project, the National School of Judges of Ukraine in the training for judges "Peculiarities of judicial proceedings regarding whistleblowers", which took place on May 23-24, 2023.
Oksana Bronevytska became the co-moderator of lecturer Maksym Panchenko in the module dedicated to the peculiarities of handling cases regarding the protection and renewal of whistleblower rights in administrative and civil proceedings.
During training:
๐น the judges' attention was focused on the fact that the role of whistleblowers depends on the judicial community;
๐นit was emphasized about the launch at the beginning of the war of a portal for exposing assets regarding the property of russians abroad, which contributed to the seizure of assets;
๐นthe essence of social status and the role of a whistleblower in a democratic society, their difference from "snoopers", "sexists" and other negative associations were revealed;
๐น they talked about international experience, the history of the institute of whistleblowers and the development of guarantees for their protection;
๐นthe topic was revealed: "The concept and legal status of a whistleblower. The judge as a whistleblower."
๐นthe issue of the system of state bodies responsible for receiving, checking and considering reports from whistleblowers, the role and functions of these bodies in ensuring the protection of whistleblowers and their rights, the peculiarities of handling cases against whistleblowers in criminal proceedings, as well as the peculiarities of handling cases for the whistleblower's participation in cases of administrative offenses and his defense on the basis of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses;
๐นa review of the practice of the ECHR regarding the protection of whistleblowers and the peculiarities of the protection of whistleblowers in civil and administrative proceedings was carried out.
