🤝We join forces and strengthen anti-corruption communication in the local government.
On June 12-14, 2024, a strategic session was held for anti-corruption commissioners and communications specialists of the local government "Communication of anti-corruption work and its role in community development".
The event was opened by Serhiy Derkach, the Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, who presented the Ministry of Infrastructure's anti-corruption communication strategy.
Nataliia Aliushyna, the Head of the NAUCS, spoke about the importance of popularizing the topic of integrity and zero tolerance for corruption in the public service, which is one of the main tasks of the NAUCS. She also discussed with the participants the communication strategy for promoting integrity in the public service, which is a kind of guide for promoting and communicating a culture of integrity among public servants.
During three days, the following also worked with the participants:
▪️ Pavlo Buldovych, the Head of the State Information Policy Coordination Department for the Prevention of Corruption of the NACP, who presented the main provisions of the Communications Strategy in the field of preventing and combating corruption for the period up to 2025;
▪️ Iryna Tymchenko, Head of the Public Sector Capacity Building and Integrity Department of the Department of Educational Work and Educational Programs of the NACP, and Alla Oliinyk, the Deputy Head of the Department of Public Sector Capacity Building and Integrity of the Department of Educational Work and Educational Programs of the NACP, who provided practical advice for effective performance of duties of authorized persons in preventing corruption, ensuring integrity and establishing anti-corruption communication in the community.
Participants of the strategic session:
▪️ exchanged experience in the field of anti-corruption communication;
▪️ formed methodological recommendations with practical advice for local government organizations regarding the development and communication of measures to prevent corruption;
▪️ increased awareness of effective communication and promotion of integrity;
▪️ contributed to the implementation of the goals of the Communications Strategy in the field of prevention and countering corruption for the period until 2025.
